Who is on The Mother Agents? 

Independent scouts or small mom & pop mother agent operations whose focus is scouting, managing and placing their talent in the larger international markets with the intention of the high fashion platform such as New York, Paris, London and Milan. These mother agents are producing models that are doing work like Calvin Klein, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Vuitton, Dior, Vogue, Another, i-D, V Magazine, Interview, Dazed, Self Service, NYT Magazine etc. Model schools are not included even though they may act as “mother agents” and standard full service booking agencies who have their own local markets are not included even though they may act as “mother agents”, unless they do not have a market to sustain much of a career. This doesn’t imply that small mother agents are better than medium size or large agency mother agents. Each model connects with a different type of mother agency and each mother agency can be effective in its own way. There are very talented larger mother agencies that manage their models. This is simply showcasing the largely unknown & valuable world of small operated mother agencies across the globe that are making an impact that many kids do not know about giving them more options to succeed.

There will be some gray areas which will be difficult. I am human. There will be some agencies that book that will be in markets that their models cannot go anywhere in and need to be exported be them Africa or the Caribbean or even possibly small markets in Eastern Europe, markets that need to book small things merely for survival. As small scouting operations grow out of scouting and into booking full service agencies I will celebrate and cheer for them but will ultimately have to remove them from the Mother Agents platform. That comes with growth and everyone wants to grow.
